Easter Weekend

Spring came late this year. Michael was in Chicago with Jonny for Easter, so Dave and I were alone on a gray spring weekend. We drove to the cabin on Saturday, April 23, hoping that the snow would be gone on the road to the cabin from the Pine Mountain gate. Our trunk was full of all the new furniture we'd bought. No luck. We did take some wonderful photos of the rushing creek and bleak beauty of rural Summit County in winter.

We then drove past Lake Jordanelle to semi-deserted Park City for soup, salad, and apple crisp at the Eating Establishment.

This weekend was fun, but it was a pale shadow of the Easters when we bought Easter baskets for the kids, decorated the table with a Hong Kong embroidered tablecloth, and cooked a ham to serve Grandma and the family for Easter dinner.
